We’re a charity shop and community hub in Southsea. We offer an ever-changing range of clothing, furniture, books, music and more.
Opening times
- Monday to Saturday: 10am – 5pm.
- Sundays: 11am – 3pm (only when market on in Palmerston Road).

If you are using this time to have a sort out please do put any unwanted items to one side for us. Please call us on 0239 282 1199 or email: samsplacesouthsea@gmail.com to let us know when you’re coming in to donate to us. To those who live locally in Southsea, we will be able to offer a collection service.
Supporting Portsmouth Samaritans
The Portsmouth and East Hampshire Branch of Samaritans offers telephone and web chat support for anyone experiencing a difficult emotional time in their lives. We also have a large Outreach programme supporting local schools, Network Rail, Local Veterans, and many more local organisations. We are a charity in our own right and need to fund all of our running costs. Sam’s Place is a great source of support as all of their profits go directly to the local branch. To help us maintain our service we need donations of good quality clothes, bric a brac, shoes, small electrical goods.
